Radical Tenderness in Motion – Dance Performances and Workshops in the Exhibition
Dancer and choreographer Tereza Ondrová together with the Temporary Collective platform team and dancers from the Temporary YOUNG project will present four dance solos and a dance workshop as part of the accompanying programme to the exhibition Iván Argote: Radical Tenderness at Galerie Rudolfinum. The accompanying dance programme Radical Tenderness in Motion is designed to interact with the exhibition, while retaining its independence. Knowledge of Iván Argote’s work is not necessary and participants and viewers can get to know his work on the spot. The exhibition Iván Argote: Radical Tenderness and the accompanying programme Radical Tenderness in Motion thus engage in a dialogue with each other, while retaining their autonomy.
What to look forward to?
The performance and dance programme has two parts. The first is a weekend programme – Saturday dance workshops and Sunday dance solo performance by Tereza Ondrová. The second part will premiere the work of Temporary YOUNG, a project that mixes experienced creators and dancers together with the youngest generation of dancers on the threshold of their careers.
Saturday’s dance workshop will take place in the Rudolfinum Ceremony Hall (Dvorana Rudolfina) and will continue as part of the Prague Museum Night directly in the exhibition as part of the Galerie Rudolfinum’s programme. The Sunday and Tuesday part of the programme will take place in the exhibition itself.
About Temporary Collective
The current themes of the Temporary Collective platform are sustainability, loss, memory work, but also humour and warmth. Their work with the body and dance material is inspired by observational documentary work, archival research, and a long-standing commitment to the projection of memory into personal gestures, always drawing on practices of listening, observation, dialogue and radical care.
About Tereza Ondrová
The slowness and fragility characteristic of Tereza Ondrová’s dance work demands a different kind of attention than we are used to. Her dance solo is essentially a sculpture in time, a play with details, attention but also constant transformation and imagination. In her dance works, she thus gives visitors a space to rethink and negotiate their relationship to loss, the unseen, finitude, empathy, but also time and the decay of memories and experiences. For how does one dance with memory, or even with history? How does our body remember what is gone? Or the one who is no longer here?
About Temporary YOUNG
New to the platform’s activities is the Temporary YOUNG project, which works purposefully with young dance makers and creators who are at the beginning of their careers. Their dance solos will be premiered as part of Tuesday’s programme, working with movement material from Tereza Ondrová’s solo and thus created in direct relation to her Sunday performance.

The dance workshop led by Tereza Ondrová and Temporary YOUNG (David Králík, Emma Fiala, Natalie Tun) is based on the presence of the body, the cathartic dimension of humour that is written into the body expression and gestures of each person. It is about the joy of moving together or being able to dance together. It is a space to meet the work of Tereza Ondrová and Temporary YOUNG, but also to make new friends – as the workshop is open to the general public, no level of dance training is needed. What is important is the motivation and the desire to move together, even on the basis of playful rules or instructions. Dance is not ephemeral. It is living, breathing, vibrant, sweaty evidence of what makes us fundamentally human.

Radical Tenderness in Motion – Solo by Tereza Ondrová | Dance performance in the exhibition
Galerie Rudolfinum
Free admission
The dance performance is an adaptation of Tereza Ondrová’s last solo, which works with her key strength in dance, which is the ability to pay crucial attention to detail. She works with minimalist gestures that make present the questions: how does one dance with someone who has passed away? How do you overcome loss? The loss of a loved one? Or the loss of an ideal? Or a vision of the future?

Radical Tenderness in Motion – Temporary YOUNG | Three dance performances in the exhibition | Premiere
Galerie Rudolfinum
Free admission
Three solos about loss and care.
Caring for Loss is based on the idea of whether by revisiting and working with materials from the past and creating from a single source, or by recycling, one can rethink working methods and thereby address themes of sustainability on a personal, professional and environmental level. Temporary YOUNG (David Králík, Emma Fiala, Natalie Tun) work with movement material from Tereza Ondrová’s solo, so their performances are created in direct relation to her Sunday performance.
The entire series Radical Tenderness in Motion is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Prague.
