The curtain made by Gustav Klimt, Ernst Klimt and Franz Matsch for the theatre in Karlovy Vary in 1886, was restored in 1995 by the company TRADICE, s.r.o. As the theatre has been under reconstruction since 1995, a decision was made that the curtain will be exhibited in the foyer of the Rudolfinum during the course of the reconstruction until June 1999. Thus, and a dignified and safe location for the curtain was found.
